Abu Dhabi Ports Company – Ports Unit. Integrated Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy

 

ADPC-PU will meet its HSE Policy by integrating health, safety and the environment into its business and management processes.

ADPC-PU is committed to comply with Transport Sector EHSMS of Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) as well as applicable national and international rules and regulations.

ADPC-PU will strive to conduct and manage its ports business and activities in a manner designed to responsibly minimize HSE risks to a level which is As Low As Reasonably Practical (ALARP).

ADPC-PU will strive to make and encourage optimal use of the resources consumed thereby minimizing emissions and waste.

ADPC-PU is committed to reducing risk in its operations to safeguard its personnel and protect the environment in the communities within and around its premises.

ADPC-PU will openly communicate its HSE results and welcome input from regulatory agencies, communities and other interested parties.

Within the scope of HSE Policy defined above and to support ADPC’s role in the Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision, ADPC-PU shall:

  • Demonstrate ADPC-PU’s commitment to sustainable ports development.
  • Align with the corporate values of not compromising on safe and secure operations while minimizing HSE impacts.
  • Provide alignment between port activities and HSE resources.
  • Monitor and manage health, safety and environmental risks for ADPC ports.
  • Obtain stakeholder and interested parties input.
  • Base rigorous audits of our HSE performance against established objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct periodic HSE induction for ADPC-PU personnel and those working for or on behalf of ADPC-PU.
  • Develop a systematic approach to HSE Management to ensure compliance with national and international laws; Standards that ADPC PU subscribe to; and best practices, in order to continually improve HSE performance.
  • Conduct periodic management reviews, as part of the ADPC-PU business planning and budgeting process, to evaluate HSE performance, set HSE targets and objectives and ensure that HSE Policy remains relevant and appropriate.
