While the flagship Khalifa Port has become the focal point of Abu Dhabi’s port activities, the Emirate’s smaller ports remain just as important.
Specifically, these include facilities at Al Sila with its two ports (a fishing harbour, and a commercial port); a single multi-purpose port will be developed on Delma Island; Sir Bani Yas will have a multi-purpose port; Mugharrag port will be developed primarily for RO/RO traffic; Musaffah port has recently been re-opened for commercial cargoes; Shahama Port has a protected basin and waterfront property which is under development.
Dry ports are under development at Al Dhafra and Al Ain.
ADPC is dedicated to improving facilities at all of its port operations, and to providing the best possible services to customers and stakeholders alike.
At Al-Sila Fishing Harbour, we have installed a VTS and pontoon facility for fishermen. At Mugharrag Port, we have installed VTS traffic control system. The ferry route between Delma and Mugharrag Port will see improved facilities for passengers.
At Sir Bani Yas a port was developed on the island to service the planned growth in the tourist industry. Delma Island is experiencing development in its fishing, freight, passenger and ferry harbours. At Mirfa, we are redeveloping the fishing harbour.
